This policy explains how Camel Thorn Capital handles personal data when you visit this website or contact us, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In short
- No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- Fonts and all other files are served from our own website: your browser does not contact third parties while you browse. Only when you submit the contact form is your message sent to our form provider, Formspree.
- Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our mailbox by Formspree and used only to reply to you.
- We do not use your details for marketing or share them with anyone other than the service providers listed below.
Who is responsible
The controller for your personal data is Camel Thorn Capital B.V. (Camel Thorn Capital), Zaandam, the Netherlands, registration number 97690481 (Dutch Chamber of Commerce, KvK). You can reach us at info@camelthorncapital.com.
What we collect and why
When you contact us
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and anything else you include, such as your company, area of interest and message. We use this to answer your enquiry and, if we decide to work together, to prepare and carry out that engagement.
Contact-form submissions are processed by Formspree, Inc. on our behalf: Formspree receives the form, filters spam, forwards the message to our mailbox and keeps a copy in our Formspree account. Formspree also processes your IP address for spam protection.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical data needed to deliver this website securely, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. This is used to deliver the website, protect it against attacks and prevent abuse. We do not use it to identify you or to build profiles.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Market ticker
Market prices are retrieved by our own server from data providers and cached. Your browser only contacts our website, so no personal data is shared with those providers.
Cookies
We do not place cookies or use similar technologies for analytics, marketing or tracking, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie, for example to tell people and automated bots apart. Such cookies are needed to keep the website secure and do not track you across websites.
If we ever introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary with:
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this website on our behalf;
- Formspree, Inc., which processes contact-form submissions on our behalf;
- our email service provider, which stores our mailbox on our behalf;
- professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed for an engagement;
- authorities, where we are legally required to.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. If no engagement follows, we generally delete it within two years of our last contact, including the copy kept in our Formspree account. Where we work together, we keep records for as long as the law requires, for example under tax record-keeping obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise these rights, email info@camelthorncapital.com. We respond within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in the Netherlands, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Security
This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
